Corrective Soft-Tissue Therapy
A Certified Massage Therapist for more than 20 years, Carolyn Hart, CMT combines her passion for human bio-mechanics with a nurturing and restorative touch. She dedicated 5 years of her career to working within the physical therapy community where she developed an exceptional skill set for addressing soft tissue pain and dysfunction. Carolyn has extensive experience working with people who are healing athletic injuries, and those with Repetitive Use Injuries (RSI's) such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. Additionally, Carolyn understands the demands placed upon the body through static postures such as hours seated in from of the computer or behind the wheel. She helps her clients restore comfort and balance with integrative massage that targets problem areas such as the neck and shoulders while also supporting whole body stress relief and relaxation.
Carolyn Hart, CMT has a deep respect for the needs that each client brings to a massage session, and she tailors her treatments to meet individual expectations. She has studied multiple massage modalities, from corrective therapies including Myofascial Release and Lymph Drainage Therapy to more subtle techniques such Reiki and Cranio-Sacral.
Carolyn is a graduate of The McKinnon Institute and The Mendocino School of Holistic Massage in addition to completing hundreds of hours of additional training with The Upledger Institute and other organizations. She has studied with Carole Osborn, John Barnes, Tom Myers, and the late John Upledger. Along with her massage education, Carolyn Hart holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management from St. Mary's College, and a Master of Fine Arts in Writing from the University of San Francisco.
